FAQ
Where do the photo sessions take place?
Typically, photo sessions occur at clients’ homes, offices, or their chosen locations for a personalized touch. However, I also have a studio located in Amersfoort, situated within a stunning old monastery at Daam Fockemalaan 22. Nearby, you’ll find ample free parking, and the surrounding area offers plenty of charming spots to explore. Additionally, there’s a delightful Italian restaurant conveniently located next door, perfect for a post-session treat.
How far in advance should I book my session, and which days are available for shoots?
Sessions should ideally be booked at least 2 weeks before the photoshoot, but earlier is always better to ensure availability. My shooting days typically fall on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with exceptions for other available days. Rest assured, I strive to accommodate your schedule and provide plenty of options for booking your session.
Not sure what I want my photos to showcase yet. Can you help with that?
Of course! After booking your session, I’ll send you a questionnaire to delve into your vision and goals. Then, we’ll have a planning call to brainstorm ideas and determine the best way to showcase you and your business. Together, we’ll uncover the perfect concept, ensuring that during the shoot, we’ll simply execute those ideas seamlessly.
I don't know how to pose and I feel awkward. Should I still go ahead and book a session?
Absolutely! It’s completely normal to feel unsure about posing and awkwardness in front of the camera. In fact, about 90% of my clients initially express similar concerns. But fear not, I have a repertoire of tricks and poses always in mind to help you feel comfortable and confident. Together, we’ll turn your session into a fun and enjoyable experience, capturing natural and authentic images without any pressure.
Do you edit your photos?
Yes, I personally edit all of my photos as part of my photography style. Editing plays a crucial role in refining and enhancing the visual narrative of each image, allowing me to bring out the true essence and mood captured during the photoshoot. Through careful editing, I can fine-tune colors, tones, and composition to ensure that each photo aligns with my artistic vision and delivers a compelling story. This hands-on approach to editing not only adds a distinctive touch to my work but also ensures consistency and quality across all of my photographs.
How long does it take to receive the photos?
You can expect to receive your photos starting from 2-4 weeks after the photo session. Typically, within 1-3 days post-session, I’ll provide a web gallery featuring all the best photos for your selection. Once you’ve made your choices, the retouching process begins, taking another 1-3 weeks depending on the extent of work required. Rest assured, I prioritize quality and attention to detail to ensure you receive stunning, meticulously edited images.
What should I wear to the Personal Branding photo session?
Creating a strong personal brand through your wardrobe involves thoughtful choices that reflect your personality, values, and professional image. Start by understanding your brand identity and developing a signature style with a cohesive colour palette. Invest in, well-fitting pieces and accessorise thoughtfully to enhance your look without distractions. Dress appropriately for your industry while maintaining comfort and confidence. Keep your style simple and authentic, and ensure your wardrobe suits different occasions. Paying attention to details like shoes and grooming completes your polished appearance, strengthening your personal brand. During our consultation, we will go through styling together, and I will provide personalised tips to help you create the perfect wardrobe for your personal brand.
Do I need to wear makeup for my photo session?
For your photo session, I recommend treating it like you’re getting ready for a special event, like a party. If you typically wear makeup and feel comfortable with it, go ahead and apply it as you normally would. However, if you don’t usually wear makeup, there’s no need to start now. The key is to represent your authentic self, especially in personal branding. Your photos should reflect who you truly are, not a different persona. So, whether you glam up or keep it natural, the most important thing is that you feel confident and true to yourself during your session.
